Awful Day Ever
It all started with a case of bedhead hair. I couldn't figure it to look right. As I was hurrying out the door, I fell and landed all over the carpet. To make matters worse, I was totally running behind for work.

By the time I got home, I was utterly defeated. This day, this horrific day will be forever remembered as the worst day ever.

It all started out badly with a simple mishap/incident/screw-up. But then it went from bad to absolutely terrible. A series/chain/cascade of unfortunate/awful/disastrous events unfolded/occurred/piled on top each other, leaving me feeling like I was in a nightmare/horror movie/comedy of errors. It's the kind of situation where you just want to throw your hands up.
